My sister’s parakeet has stopped chirping since it has been in my room – why?

I’m currently bird-sitting my sister’s parakeet, Sweetie. She normally screeches and chirps (when she is in my sisters room) whenever the water is running, TV or radio is on, doors close or open, or when the cats are meowing. But since I put her in my room she has completely stopped all chirping. I downloaded a couple parakeet sounds/songs and whenever I play them she chirps along with them and bobbs her head (almost as though she were dancing). Anyway, does anyone know why she is doing this? I feel like she might be sick or something! Please help me – any answer or any bit of information would be AMAZING! thank you!

Why has my budgie has been so quiet?

My female budgie is almost 2, she always sang pretty songs quite often throughout the day. Over the past 3 weeks or so she has become almost silent, not singing or tweeting at all. She seems otherwise healthy and look fine. What could be wrong?

I’ve been teaching my Budgie how to talk?

Everyday I talk to him and I let him watch talking Budgie videos on youtube. He enjoys this. He flies on the top of laptop to hear the talking Budgies. Lately he does a lot of ‘fweeting’. I rarely hear him ‘chirp’. How do I know if he is trying to talk, or just fweeting? What’s the difference? He is my only bird, I’ve only had him about 3 1/2 months. He’s about 6-7 months old.
